Be Careful With PayPal

Writer Wishes To Remain Anonymous

My story is very simple. A few day ago a man named Evgenij (evgeniyc@ukr.net) from Ukraine, contacted me from ICQ 178635195 offering to become a partner in his business. I would receive the money on my PayPal account – the money, as he said, for some software they’re selling to US customers. Then I have to transfer it them by Western Union, for some commission of course.

I blame myself for being so stupid and accepting theis offer.

The money have come form some Stacy Gerlich, sgerlich@socal.rr.com, with remark “4 Soft. Good job”. I immediately initiated the transfer to my Bank Account, being afraid of keeping this money not in the bank. As my Ukarinian friend persuiaded me to send him the money ASAP – I made the transfer of my own money

I guess I need not to mention that the very next morning I’ve discovered PayPal transaction been “reversed”, along with the explanation of Stacy Gerlich that it wasn’t him who made it.

I returned the money to PayPal immediately after and told them I want to close the account – but I’m still not sure the story is over.

Of course I also have cancelled my credit card been used on PayPal – being afraid it also might be wiped out.

Summarasing all, I wish to warn everybody:

- Be EXTREMELY careful receiving ANY messages from ANY person mentioned above.

- If you want to use PayPal for your business – you better think twice.

Don’t be so stupit as I was.
