Buying with PayPal is the most PAINFUL thing in the world

I swear, buying with PayPal is the most PAINFUL thing in the world. It took me 12 times to finally my order actually ordered! I hate it when I want to buy something off of Etsy and they want me to use PayPal… it makes me want to hit my head into my laptop keyboard. All I wanted was to buy a necklace. Who would think it would take jumping through hoops (more like fire hoops…) to actually finish the order? It kept clocking me out after just a few minutes, then it was saying my number was wrong, then it was saying the security code was wrong… then it was saying I had to call American Express to activate my gift card. NOOOOOO that’s the last thing i need to hear! I hate calling customer service because 90% of the time I’m not talking to somebody in the United States! After talking to a machine for about 10 minutes, I finally spoke to someone. Thank God they spoke English, but it wasn’t very good. Then I was finally able to finish my transaction. GRRRRR I’d rather pay with a money order…

Oh and now I’ve got $3.00 in fees that PayPal has charged me. Yes, $3.00. I figured it’d be just $1.00, but somehow it charged 2 extra dollars. I know it’s just $3.00, but I was going to use the rest of the gift card to buy something else. I don’t even know if I’ll have enough. It better be refunded soon…

You are so right about that and it is even more painful if you are a seller. Trust me. If it is not Paypal taking your money it is the scammers that have protection by paypal that robs you blind. I had so many problems with my Paypal account that I ended up closing it and opening a merchant account instead.

PayPal IS a pain plain and simple! Really, it’s a relatively easy concept yet somehow they mess up so many transactions…always to their benefit. So they got you for just a couple extra bucks but multiply that by everyone else they are stealing a couple bucks from and it all lines their already deep pockets. Refund? Yeah right! They will hold that cash and make you jump through more hoops of fire to try to get your cash back…to include many frustrating calls to the Paypal customer service hell. PayPal is a pain in the ass…don’t use em for your own sanity’s sake!
