Recently I signed up for a PayPal account.

somehow I came across your web page regarding some of the issues communicated by you . Here are my findings.

I didn’t have a problem with getting through to the phone number provided by PayPal.

I was put on hold for about 3 minutes before customer service came on. Customer service asked me the following questions. Name, email, and credit card info.

After that, they asked how can they help me.  I told them that I had some concerns about information being placed out on the web about paypal.  They connected me to their complaints department.   I waited for about 2 minutes and a complaints representative answered the phone.

I asked him if he could explain some of the issues being placed on the web, and some of the class action law suites.

Here is his response:

He said that they are a large company, and like almost all large companies, they get sued.

He felt that its possible that some customers are angry with them because they (THE CUSTOMER), may not have followed the rules.  For example. You are supposed to open up 1 personal account and 1 business account.  He said there are cust9omers who open up more than 1 account and then the account is sometimes frozen because paypal is trying to investigate why.

He also said that they are not responsibel for fradulant money transactions.

He also said that we need to look at the fact that they have over 30,000 vendors that use their services without any problems.

He said that the industry is very new, and that they are still working on improvements.

    Paypal is a corrupt and no credit company
    Recently, I sold my items to a man from Arizona, Mingjiang Qiu, who paid with his credit card through paypal. When the buy received these items, he insisted that his credit card company refund his money, and opened a chargeback case at paypal. This man, Mingjiang Qiu received my items and did not return them nor did he explain why he lied to get a refund. Futher paypal didn’t do an investigation, and despite this, closed the case with the buyer keeping my items without paying for them and I was required to pay paypal. I lost my items and money.
    Paypal is not a safe place. The resolution center people are not giving the sellers a fair shake and consequently are not doing their job, there is no logical explanation for how this situation was handled.

      Don’t ever use PayPal! With e-bay you must use PayPal! Four times I had to contact sellers and set up another payment system. That means four times I contacted E-bay and used PayPal. Each time it starts out super easy for a few transactions; after that I waste better than an hour contacting PayPal, only so I can pay the sellers! One of the problems is, several years ago we cancelled a credit card. PayPal uses that credit card as the main credit card. Three times I told them that credit card was cancelled, over the telephone they said OK, never did they remove it in their records. Getting to talk to a live person at PayPal is a nightmare. I could go on; whats important, set up a payment with the seller “DON’T USE PAYPAL”.

    I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY MY ACCOUNT IS LIMITED AND HAS LIMITED INFORMATION, I WANT TO NO WHATS THE PROBLEM PLEASE.

    I came close to getting scammed,but I saw or felt red flags.In the course of my own poking around,I talked to a real person @ paypal,a real sweet heart;Melisa in Nebraska,Thank-you Melisa for your info regarding how things are actually suppose to work with my acct. Your the best,and I hope to use paypal in the future.Thanks again, Sincerly Thomas/Gibsons B.C.

    WHY WONT PAYPAL SECURITY EVEN LOOK INTO THIS SCAM? I CALLED THEM AND TRIED TO TELL THEM AHEAD OF A TRANSACTION. I WAS HANDING THIS GUY TO THEM ON A PLATE. THEY WILL NOT EVEN TAKE THIS GUYS NUMBER TO INVESTIGATE WHAT IS GOING ON. MY ADVICE TO YOU, IS TO CALL THEM, THEY WILL EVEN TELL YOU. THEY CANT AND WILL NOT DO ANYTHING.     just like to say just brought a tablet pc and waited for delivery and just found out they took the money and i was waiting for delivery tomo stroke today looked at at emails and they want more info on bank i dont have printer so this is a inconveinance for me they took my money to be honest i would rather money back .

    Paypla is worst than i tolda they want to refund a buyer that open a case on ebay and ebay make a decision on my favor.now paypal wants me to refund the buyer asfter he used the item for 65 days and said that the item is damaged.Can it be right to claim after all this time that the item is not working and received a favor decision from paypal when the item was sold like new and tested prior to shipped.the worst company i told it was safe and it really helps but no way i will never used it again
