Complaint against paypal for error I made
I wanted to send $2,000 to a company and pay by credit card. I used my husband’s paypal account (as per his instructions). I was not familiar with paying on paypal and clicked the wrong payment option.
Not knowing that my son uses this account, I clicked on his checking account number. I thought about it for a couple of minutes and realized that my husband did not have an account with Bank of America. I tried to cancel the transaction, with no luck. Within minutes I called paypal and was advised they could do nothing about this. I advised them that my son did not have the money to cover this in his account, but they did not care. I was told to email the seller and have him refuse. He did, but they told him he couldn’t do that.
A few phone calls to paypal did absolutely nothing, and to top it off, they charged $60. for this two-minute error.
