Yet another eBay/paypal story..but I kind of won this one

I sold a “fiberstars fiberoptics iluminator” on eBay for $300.
Shipped it insured with the post office. After 2 weeks buyer opened dispute saying it was not as described when in fact it had been damaged thru the post office. Was not even a working part damaged, just a plastic cover that could be fixed with superglue for crying out loud.

Anyway, after several attempt to get photos from him to no avail so I could file claim, eBay refunded the entire $366.45 to buyer ($300 + shipping). So now buyer has merchandise, money and NO incentive to provide photos.

I managed to close my bank account and charge card before eBay could get to the money though. And of course they are rather perturbed and sending me threatening emails.

The ONLY way I knew they had refunded the money was when my charge card company called and told me eBay was trying to process charge. Fortunately I was able to stop it before it went through.
