Can’t fund my payments the way I want to with PayPal

I am forced to use paypal as an ebay seller. I was trying to make a donation to a charity that links to paypal for payment. I did not want to even log in to paypal to pay and there was a link to do this, supposedly. I clicked on this link, entered all my information (countless times) and paypal refused to accept my credit card. After multiple tries, I called my credit card company. They said that it was not even showing up on their end, in other words paypal wasn’t even trying to use the credit card I wished to pay with. I tried another charity, same deal.

Finally, I gave up and went to paypal. I needed to link the card that I wanted to use to paypal and then I tried to pay with that card. I thought it went through, until I went to my account and it took it out of my paypal account, money I needed to pay a bill!!!! I called paypal, got a terrible customer rep, asked to speak to a supervisor, there are none there she says. What? She says they were just closing so…I don’t believe that for a minute, I do believe she did not want to help me in any way and was just interested in going home for sure…

Long and short of it is, if you are paying for something on line that uses paypal for payment method, BE SURE, that you have no money in your paypal account, or you will not be able to use your credit card….This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to me, but that’s the long and short of it…I guess they make more money that way, but I for one, will never leave a balance in my account ever again…
