Keeping PayPal Away

Writer Wishes To Remain Anonymous

I just joined PayPal on 4/9/05 and have not used their services at all.  I have not bought anything on EBay or sold anything.  I haven’t a website where I sell online either.  But I do work for a company in GA that does direct deposit into the same credit union banking/checking account that I gave to PayPal, in anticipation of doing a web business of selling my nature photographs. ( which I have not done). Now that I have read all the horror stories..(wish I had read them and known about them before I dealt with PayPal)  I want to stop my account. How do I do that?  My GA company has already deposited $127 into that account and I am afraid that PP will freeze, withdraw or do something awful. Can I go to the bank and withdraw my money and then just close that bank account?  Will that get PP off of my accounts?  Off my back?? More than anything,.I want to get away from these people who are defrauding thousands from innocent people like me.

Please tell me what I should do to stop any connection with PAYPAL.

Just close out your PayPal account or leave it open and close out the checking account associated with the PayPal account. They should not be able to access your account since you’ve not done any business with them but you never know. They are crooks and only benefit the buyer and not a seller.
