No Pay Pal of Mine
By: Keith Murray
I opened a paypal account. I verified two bank and one credit card accounts. I provided my SSN. I Gave them all the information that they asked for. I did all this to sell a camera. I listed my camera for ten days. Bidding was up to $444.00 when the auction ended at 7 P.M. on a Friday.
I checked my paypal account and the money was there. Great. Saturday morning 8 A.M. I rushed down to the UPS store and shipped 3 day express signature required. Camera gone. When I got back home to enter tracking information there was a hold on my money. The buyer had filed a complaint for non-reciept! What the f---! How can this happen? Why did paypal validate this complaint by holding my money?
Fourteen hours have passed! I clicked my way to the resolution center where there was a wonderfull box for me to enter a tracking number. I carefully did and carefully double checked it before sending. I let out a sigh of relief and waited. The next day I received an automated response stating they had received my email and would forward it to the buyer. I already had.
Six days later I received an email stating that because paypal was unable to track my package that the buyers payment had been refunded. I was able to track without problems. I closed my paypal account. The non-buyer has not returned my calls or emails and lives about 1800 miles away. I think I'll book a flight.
