PayPal And Charges

By Rachel

I opened a PayPal account a little over a year ago. Everything was fine, I was recieving payments, and sending payments – no problem. Then one day I get my bank statement. -overdraft fees???
For what???
PAYPAL.
Services charges?
Chargebacks?
$5?
$100
EVEN ONE FOR $250!! Now, where I come from $250  is NOT a service charge, it’s a THIEF!!

So I thought nothing of it, I figured I’d just remove the bank account from PayPal. I tried to remove the account… “You cannot remove this account, as is is your primary bank account.” So that made me angry, I was too mad to sit at the computer any longer looking for a phone number, (which I never found). I got up and left the computer. I came back to the computer after cooling off for about an hour. I had a new e-mail.
Goodie, maybe they fixed something.

WRONG.

Seeing as I had had no buyers send anything to me account, I said what in the world? I went to my PayPal account. I had no open disputes in my account, nor did I have ANY disuputes at all. I said how odd.
I typed in the Case number that they had given me in the e-mail. What does it say?

You do not have any cases that match the case ID you entered.

Considering I have had NO buyers send ANYTHING to my account, and considering that the case ID number doesn’t match anything having to do with me, I got a little suspicious.
I wish I had found this site LONG before I ever signed up with PayPal. I had no idea this many people have been having the same problems as me. And here I thought >I< had done something wrong. HOW ARE THEY GETTING AWAY WITH THIS??

I have over $1,000 in this account, and I want MY money.

I have e-mailed several times and I have yet to recieve any kind of responses, except automated messages that have absolutely nothing to do with the e-mail that I sent to them.

It says to get my restrictions lifted please fax
-Copy of ID
-Bank statement
-Credit card statement

So I did…. TWICE.

I have heard absolutely NOTHING.

I have tried closing the account, and you cannot close an account with restrictions.

Meanwhile they have my credit card information, AND my bank account!!

And are choosing to do whatever they please. They charge me all the time for things I haven’t even bought. Some of them twice! They’ve double charged my bank so many times. I’ve gotten overdraft charges for absolutely nothing.

Also, in the mean time, All of my online auctions are linked to this account. Therefore when they end, buyer sends payment to this account. It’s odd that it can RECIEVE money but I cannot SEND or WITHDRAW money. So in the mean time, buyers are sending money, I have NO access to ANY of my accounts, and buyers are filing COMPLAINTS. Making ME look like I have committed fraud when it is all PayPal!!!
People BEWARE!
If you’re looking for a payment service, DO NOT turn to PayPal!! It’s only trouble.
