PayPal Info Confirmation

Writer Wishes To Remain Anonymous

My boss recieved an e-mail from PayPal Customer Support saying that their Account Review Team identified some unusual activity on our account and that one or more attempts to log into our account from a foreign IP address have occurred.  They then went on to list 5 incidents, 2 from Poland and 3 from Romania, and say that the account has not been compromised and access to the account was limited.  They say that access to our account will remain limited until the issue is resolved and that we can secure your account and quickly restore full access but they may need additional information from us.  The trouble is that we do not have a PayPal account and are not even sure what it is–I am online now trying to find out.  Secondly, the date of the e-mail is today, 7/22 and the date of the suspicious activities is cited as 7/25–three days from now.  I think this is a scam to get info. from us and try to sell us something or hook us into something.  I told my boss not to click on the link provided by the e-mail which is provided to “securely confirm your PayPal information”.  What do you make of this?
