How Does PayPal Make Money With My Money?

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, there are approx. 100,000 complaints outstanding at PayPal (Are any of these yours?). In many instances disputes can run on for months leaving people frustrated and out of pocket as they are unable to access their accounts. So what happens to the millions of dollars tied up in frozen accounts and disputes? Well, here is a clip from the San Francisco Chronicle that basically sums it up:

U.S. District Judge Jeremy Fogel of San Jose refused to dismiss a lawsuit that seeks class-action status on behalf of thousands of PayPal customers nationwide. A common allegation is that the company brushes off or stalls customer grievances for months and meanwhile freezes the customer's account and pockets the interest (So that's how they make their money!). No wonder they freeze so many accounts!

Paypal a ripoff. I am a Payal Member (not for long) who operates a Store on ebay.I also use Paypal to transfer money because they were less expensive than Western Union. My son did some computer work and his customer used Paypal and asked if he could send the funds Paypal. My son asked me I checked with Paypal to see if it was permissable under their terms to send 2000.00 (Quasi cash) for service.

They contacted the sender and his credit card company secured an authorization for the transaction informed me to accept the money and I did. 3 months later the card holder filed an unorthorized charge, and without so much as notification Paypal charged my acount 2,058.00 their fees for the tra-nsaction on 2k .

They will not give me any information their reply sue us to get it then turned me over to collections. I don’t know about the rest of the world but Paypal sucks, sign up with Bidpay you will like them mush better and the buyer pays the fees.
