They have become so large that their mistakes can stop your ability to send or accept payment. It’s like a dinosauer that steps on it’s own children…too stupid to notice. They have no way to contact them for a correction or to request help (forget about that). They can shut your business down without any reason except some digital glitch that a bank would not be allowed to get away with.
After several years of good service I find myself paying in spades for that lucky streak…all because of a software problem on their part. My business is now in limbo and all my listed items cast under a dark cloud even though I have zero negative feedback from customers.
The USPS money order is still the gold standard for a guranteed transfer of funds…and if someone gets crooked…the Postal Service has federal laws to pursue…Paypal will ignore you and cast you to the sharks…they make the Federal Beuracracy look appealing folks! They are the anti-privatization icons.
