Paypal doesn’t protect their merchants

I would highly advise any merchant to not use PayPal. The only way we can take down PayPal is to refuse to use their services to accept payments. Yes I know PayPal is convenient, but that convenience comes at a high price. They can charge back your money based on lies told by consumers and do not conduct thorough investigations. They can easily freeze your account for any reason they choose and hold your money so you can’t take anything out. Beware of using PayPal as a merchant.

I was selling a digital currency known as bitcoin through eBay and accepted PayPal for payments. One buyer paid through PayPal and then claimed it as an unauthorized transaction as soon as he received the bitcoin. I called them and tried to explain and tried to make them see this guy was clearly a scammer. Instead they ended up charging back the money and can only come up with excuse after excuse as to why they won’t do anything to cover my loss. I wasted a lot of time, energy, and lost a lot of money dealing with PayPal.

PayPal has left a sour taste in my mouth and I will never ever use them as a merchant.
