How Does PayPal Make Money With My Money?

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, there are approx. 100,000 complaints outstanding at PayPal (Are any of these yours?). In many instances disputes can run on for months leaving people frustrated and out of pocket as they are unable to access their accounts. So what happens to the millions of dollars tied up in frozen accounts and disputes? Well, here is a clip from the San Francisco Chronicle that basically sums it up:

U.S. District Judge Jeremy Fogel of San Jose refused to dismiss a lawsuit that seeks class-action status on behalf of thousands of PayPal customers nationwide. A common allegation is that the company brushes off or stalls customer grievances for months and meanwhile freezes the customer's account and pockets the interest (So that's how they make their money!). No wonder they freeze so many accounts!

im a shop aholic and one day i was on ebay and purchased almost $200 worth of stuff , nopt realizing i didnt have the money in my back account, paypal did withdraw about$210 from my account witch was okay at first until they told me that there was a failure because i had insufficiant funds in my account . but what i dont dont understand how did my bank accoutn have an overdraft of $210 from paypal? So they took the money out of my account that i didnt have and cancelled all of my purchases and now im getting nothing for the $210 dollars they took out and no one will help, i tried emailing them and calling them and all they say well figure it out and well get back to you and it has been 3 months and i havent seen any return of my money, if soemone can help me let me know. i would like to figure out a way to get my money back !
