Paypal says we violated some copyright policy

We own a website that sells custom made dresses. We have been using PayPal to process payment for 1 year now. Then, suddenly last week they freeze our account because of a violation. As we registered a merchant account and website clearly fill in the form when registering, they should have known what type of business are we in and what we are selling. They said that we have violated some copyright policy. So, we went to have a look at Ebay and guess what. There are lots of sellers on Ebay that sells the same thing as us and they can still use PayPal. So, we complained to them and they just take no action. This is so frustrating as we think PayPal is double standard. Is it because Ebay and PayPal are the same company, sellers on Ebay are not considered to have violated their policy while we are? It makes me wonder if ebay sellers are trying to sabotage us.

This could very well be some ebay seller looking to get rid of the competition or it could just be paypal being paypal. Paypal doesn’t even need a valid reason to freeze your account they covered that in the user agreement. You are probably best off finding a merchant account and stay away from using paypal ever again.
