Screwed Out of $2,500.00

I sell outboard motors on ebay. I recently sold a Mercury 175hp motor to an individual.  He paid right away and I sent the motor. 

2 1/2 months later I logged into my PayPal account to find that he had chargedback the money leaving me with a balance of negitive $2,500. 

I contacted PayPal and they told me he refused to pay for it because I never shipped the motor. They told me that if I sent proof of shipping they would "take care of it". I sent them proof and did not hear from them for 2 more weeks!!!  I tried to contact the buyer the whole time but he had moved cross country and had taken the motor with him. I have no way of tracking him down and though I had been had.  Luckily all outboards have serial numbers, when he took it in to have it tuned up he was greeted by the police who arrested him for being in possesion of stolen property. 

I pressed full charges but they let him off with a slap on the wrist.  I was able to get my motor back through my own means, PayPal did absolutely nothing for me and I will never use them again!!!!
