Shut down when business started going great

So I have been selling on ebay for about 8 months now, and I got my feedback to a decent feedback of 150, nothing spectacular but being a college student I guess I can say I was proud of such. So I moved here to China for study abroad when I found some excellent deals to resell on eBay..granted i would not make much per unit but I was looking to get into wholesale. So I did what any sane person would do and i start selling. And it was going great, within a month I made roughly two thousand dollars and I guess I was doing good, so I purchased a huge lot of things from China, about ten thousand dollars and sent it to America..then I sold about three thousand worth of stuff when..BAM..the problem began. PayPal decided to limit my account. They asked for a social security number and after refusing to do so they kept $3k in my paypal account and said I could not get it back until I give them my social security number. I ended up giving them my number but they still locked my account for not giving them a valid receipt for the items I purchased (even though I did, but they could not read it because it came from China..smh). So now at a loss, and still having thousands of dollars worth of merchandise that can’t be sold anywhere but on a market place like eBay..I don’t know what to do. I want to open another paypal account but it keeps getting linked to the I figure I will just have an endless supply of useless items for the rest of my life!

Do NOT open another paypal account. As soon as you do it will be shut down because they can see you already had one. Try alternatives to Ebay. Merchantinc is a great paypal alternative that works wonderfully on Ebay. I use them myself for my Ebay sales and they work great. I get my money when they say I will and it has actually increased my sales because a lot of people do not want to use paypal any longer

Paypal does this all the time; wait until you have more then what you average in your account then they call it “suspicious activity” and limit your account. They ask you to submit some more personal information, in a false attempt to give you hope that maybe there is a chance to get your account unlimited…..there is not….no hope. Paypal is going to earn some interest on your money before you can have it back. You can get a merchant account and still sell on ebay or anywhere else on line for that matter. It’s not like paypal is the only option.
