Stolen Credit Card
By Simon Knight
I sold two graphics cards to a guy on ebay for $470, I sent the item via DHL with a tracking number, the item was delivered and I thought I had a good transaction. 30+ days later I get an e-mail from paypal saying they have done a credit reversal on me and my account was now minus $470.
It turns out the credit card used was stolen, and paypal pushed the cost of this onto me!
Now I thought paypal had good protection so i thought that the investigation will show that I could not have known and paypal would refund me the money.
I couldn't have been more wrong, paypal investigated and basically said tough luck, oh and by the way we are charging you $7 for the investigation. Unfortunatly I had to pay some people through paypal and already had over $1000 being transfered from my bank account to paypal, and this paid off the minus figure, so I am now $470 down, i am going to the police about this, i will be taking paypal to court. I will keep you posted
