Vulnerable Excitizens

I have been a very happy PayPal customer for over a year. For me it has been an excellent serice and PayPal has always been responsive and friendly.
I work overseas but have an address of a friend in the United States that I have used for 18 years. My credit cards and bank uses this address. I am now on holiday and had a small balance, less than 20.00 in my Paypal account. I transferred several hundred dollars into my account to send to a needy family member and at the moment that the money was successfully transfered, Paypal froze the account.
They want me to fax a bank statement and to be in the States to answer a phone call. I do not feel comfortbale to sending them a bak statement. It is none of teir business how much my balance is. It seems they can randomly decide to freeze your account. It is sad because I really liked them. I hav not recieved any helpful feedback from them. I contacted my bank and they
said I could only prevent PayPal from debiting my account by asking them not to do it. Ha ha. Anyway, if you are an expat you are quite vulnerable to a situation similar to my own.
